Broken Hill to Bindara Station near Menindee

We hit the road out of the Hill & were soon dodging goats again. But I must say the goats are quite smart & get out of the way when they see us coming. Has been very little goat roadkill.

We are seeing some baby goats now & they are very cute.

Can you see the goats on the water pipeline?

Our first stop was at Sunset Strip at Menindee Lakes. This hamlet started as a place where the BH miners could build a shack on the lake frontage & come on their days off for some R&R.

Cheap golfing out here.

The lakes are absolutely beautiful, teeming with bird life. Water as far as the eye can see. We are lucky to have seen them at their best. There was a couple that were dry & they just looked like the rest of the arid countryside.

We met up with the Darling again after being away from it for a few days while in BH. We were also back on unsealed roads, some of which were a bit hairy but all part of the adventure.

Dust flocker to remove the dust & doggie bits from the fleece.
Onto Bindara

And many gates to open & close.

In the home paddock now.
We’ve arrived! But alas we are not staying in the homestead.
This is us, rustic charm!
