Houseboat on the Murray

Yesterday the gang got back together as we boarded our luxury houseboat in Mildura for a few days cruising upstream on the Murray.

We were given a quick induction & practiced docking before we were let loose on our own. Captain Baz is in charge of the vessel but all the guys have had some fun with their time at the wheel.

We are having a great time with lots of laughs even though it has showered on & off today. Luckily we organised to have the vessel stocked with food before we boarded as our fishermen have been a little unreliable.

This will be my last blog as we make our way home after disembarking on Monday morning. Thank you all for following our little adventure, I hope you have enjoyed it. xx

Don’t let us touch that wheel! 😂

  1. Oohh, looks like the Virgin Cruise ship has given birth! Looks fantastic. They certainly don’t build houseboats to look like they used to. The pictures of the river, sunset and sunrises are amazing. Looking more forward now to sampling the joys of exploring the Murray too. For all the moms, have a very Happy Mother”s Day, hope the guys are good at cooking up home made scones and a nice cup of tea! Thanks for the travel blog, Chris, great to see the amazing attractions and it’s been good to share with one of the grandchildren as they are learning about the Murray River. Xx
