Portrush to Belfast

Yesterday we crossed the border back into Northern Ireland so we are back to miles & £GBP. This morning we visited Giant’s Causeway, & then took the scenic route along the coast to Belfast.

Giant’s Causeway was spectacular!

The folklore is that the giant Finn McCool built the causeway to cross the north channel to Scotland to fight their giant after trading insults across the channel.

Camel Rock. Can you see the hump & head?
A very pretty walk down from the Visitor centre.
The wishing chair. It’s very smooth on the seat because you have to rub your backside across it 3 times after making your wish. Apparently!
Very windy & a bit damp in this section.
The poor bride must have been so cold but they will have spectacular wedding photos.
In the next bay is the giant’s boot.
A steep drop off again.
The organ pipes.
The organ pipes.
Around the bend into the next bay.
This is further up the coast. There is a rope bridge connecting the island to the mainland.
Can you see people on the rope bridge?
Carnlough pier.
The Irish 2nd family car. So many again on the roads & in town.

A great day to end our time in Ireland & Nth Ireland. 😍
