Porthmadog to Tresaith

Not much happening today, the drive down the coast was wet & at times foggy. We are staying at a little old pub “The Ship’s Inn” right on the beach in this tiny holiday village. Even though it is raining, blowing a gale & freezing there has been a couple of very hardy swimmers who stripped off their big coats & jumped in. 🥶

I have spent the afternoon in the best way possible – tucked up in bed watching the Wimbledon semifinals. It has been a nice change to have Wimbledon on in the afternoon & evening. 🎾

Charlie & Camilla are in Wales at the moment. Wouldn’t that be sweet if we bumped into them at the pub. 🤪

The kiddies pool in the driveway – I like their optimism! ☺️
A lot of narrow lanes again today.
Our room for the night. Lots of stairs again to lug the suitcases up. 🧳🧳 Not only do I have an excellent driver but he’s a very good porter too, as was Cody in Scotland.
View of the Atlantic from our window with a very cold beer garden below. Ireland is out there somewhere.
This is a mink & we saw one in the wild in the Lakes District a couple of days ago. It ran across the road with something in its mouth – we were rather excited about that.
Something I’m not excited about is dogs, other than Guide dogs, in eating areas of pubs & restaurants. This is totally legal in the UK as long as they aren’t in the kitchen.
